Down Home Ranch is a 410-acre working farm with a mission to empower the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through Social, Educational, Residential and Vocational opportunities. Want to gain an inside look at what we do everyday? Join us every first Wednesday of the month for a Tour of SERVice, as we give a tour that explains everything from who lives on the Ranch (animals included!) to how (and why) we operate 24-7, 365 days a year. You’ll hear about who we serve, current programs and what we’re dreaming about for the future. We’ll even fill you in on how you can get involved.
If you’re a friend whose seen the Ranch in action before, this is a great opportunity to bring your friends, family members, neighbors and coworkers to DHR so they can see the mission at work. If you’re a friend of Down Home Ranch but have never been out, we would love to welcome you and show you around the place!
Each month, the primary focus of the tour will alternate between Programs (day program, residential, respite and camp) and General Operations. If you are more interested in learning about the services we provide and how you or a loved one may be able to become a Rancher, we’d recommend reserving your spot for a Program tour. If you are more interested in gaining a general overview of the Ranch and learning of the many ways you can support the mission yourself, we’d recommend signing up for the General tour.
An RSVP is required for all tours and can be completed through this link. Note that tours are filled on a first come, first served basis. Be sure and secure your spot early!
See you at the Ranch!
