At DHR, we offer interactive field trips for school groups, home school groups, day care centers, preschools, church groups, clubs and more! We are eager to custom design your experience to fit your goals. For $10 per attendee*, we offer a fun and educational day filled with hands-on activities and opportunities to connect with nature, animals, and our mission. *Teachers attend at no-charge.
Our field trips are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, and run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., allowing students to fully immerse themselves in our activities while still leaving plenty of time to return to school. During the visit, students rotate through three of the listed activities, providing variety and opportunities for exploration. Midway through the trip, students can take a break for lunch, either in our indoor facilities or at our outdoor picnic areas, depending on the weather.
We ask that schools bring their own permission slips and that teachers supervise their students throughout the visit. This helps ensure that everyone stays safe and enjoys their time with us!
