It is no secret that golf carts are the preferred mode of transportation at Down Home Ranch, with Jay being known as one of the sharpest drivers. When Jay moved to Down Home Ranch seven years ago, he brought along his very first golf cart. He quickly learned the basics of driving and couldn’t wait to get on the open road. Today, Jay’s favorite part of his day is driving his friends to work or classes and picking them up when they are finished. Jay believes that Ranch safety is extremely important and it makes him feel good to provide safe transportation for his friends. When asked why he sees himself as a driver, he expressed that being able to travel across the Ranch at free will makes him feel independent and proud. A personal goal of Jay’s is to serve as a mentor in the golf cart driving course offered quarterly at DHR. He is fully confident that with enough training he will make an excellent teacher!
