Growing up, Jim was captivated by the idea of creating art. At a young age, he found companionship in a family friend who taught him the basics of drawing and painting. Once he started to develop these skills, his creative nature began to blossom. Today, you will find Jim in the DHR Enterprise room creating new masterpieces daily! 🎨 One of Jim’s artistic specialties is animals. He enjoys incorporating his perception of the animal’s behavior and instinct into his artwork. Over the last year, Jim has been able to share these views beyond the canvas, in the form of one of his favorite animals – horses. 🐴 It was through hundreds of sketches with the same horse that both DHR staff and Jim agreed that his work should be used in a more meaningful way. You can now find Jim’s signature horse printed on stickers and embroidered on t-shirts and kitchen towels (some available for purchase!). When Jim was asked why he found delight in creating art, he explained that he liked the challenge of testing himself with each new piece he creates.
