Aimed at sharing the true identities and talents of the Ranchers at DHR, the SEE ME campaign showcases the unique stories of those we serve and gives readers an inside look into their life at Down Home Ranch. Follow along as we tell you the story of Aaron…
Name: Aaron
Age: 34
Rancher Since: March 2012
Favorite Hobby: Go Out Dancing
Growing up, Aaron learned the true value in giving back to your hometown community. It was through this joy that he decided to spend the last ten years dedicating his time and talents to the Elgin Fire Department. Every Tuesday evening you will find Aaron blissfully refilling the ice in the fire trucks, sweeping the station, stocking the water bottles or making small talk with the firefighters. Aaron’s favorite part about volunteering with the Elgin FD is participating in community events like Fill the Boot fundraisers, local parades and annual BBQs or banquets. Living just five minutes from the fire station makes it easy to help whenever duty calls! When asked why he chooses to support and serve the Elgin FD, he responded “Because it makes me feel good inside…helping people.”
